Students that read 5,000 pages this semester were rewarded with a Journey Ice snow cone.
Students had fun creating their own masterpiece of a snow cone.
It was the perfect hot and humid day for an icy treat!
On May 1st, the KISD Junior Highs held the first annual Katy Book Wars district competition.
It was a tough battle and our Tays Titans did great!
We also had a celebration party for all students that participated in the campus competition.
Can’t wait to do this competition again next year.

The library staff hosted an end of the year Cici’s party for all book club members.
Over 50 students attended and enjoyed pizza, brownies and cinnamon rolls.
8th grade students are having fun creating imaginative stories using StoryJumper.

The library is sponsoring a trivia contest in honor of National Library Week.
Students may enter the contest one time and winners will be announced Monday, April 16th.

Winners will have their bookmarks printed for all of the students to use at TJH!
Theme of the bookmarks must be related to reading and books.
Four winners will be chosen by our fabulous art teachers. Entries must be submitted by April 10th.
The students have spoken at TJH. Scythe by Neil Shusterman is our March Madness Book Battle winner! If you haven’t read this awesome Lone Star book, stop by the library and check it out.
On March 20th, TJH had its very first campus competition for Katy Book Wars. There were six teams that competed and one final winner. The winning team consists of 8th graders Abhinav Tiruveedhula, Gauravaram Ganesh Sudhakar, Soha Jashwant, Sanjay Senthilvelan, and Brandon Lee. This winning team will compete at Legacy Stadium on May 1st against other winning teams in the district.
The TJH Library Staff is hosting its spring book fair.
The book fair will run from February 22 – February 27, 2019.
The book fair will be held in the LGI and all students will get a
chance to browse the book fair with their ELA class.
Cash, cards and checks are accepted.
