The library staff and ELA teachers sponsored a field trip for Tays Junior High book club students to Tweens Read Book Festival on Saturday, October 22^nd.  Students were able to ignite their passion for reading by meeting 32 well known tween authors.  Tays students enjoyed spending the day hearing the authors speak and getting books autographed by their favorite authors!

Students are working together to identify non-fiction text features within non-fiction books.

The library staff will be hosting a Common Novel sale during the Community Open House on Friday, August 12th from 5:00-8:00 pm in the library.  Common novels are read during the first six week of school in each students’ ELA class.  For your convenience, you may purchase the novels during our Community Open House.  Southwest Books will be selling the novels and cash, checks and all major credit cards will be accepted.
